# Bonds?

The RARE team has ultimately **decided against implementing a bond feature** similar to that of other seigniorage protocols. Why?

In short, **we believe we have yet to see fruitful utilization of bonding mechanisms** outside of TOMB to revive broken pegs. Once pegs of new Tomb forks are broken, they tend to stay broken unless external forces beyond bonds are applied (i.e., treasury buybacks). **We do not want new investors to lock their liquidity at any time,** when instead they can be proactively used to bolster the peg. 

Thus, we hope to keep the Treasury wallet healthy and growing to inject support when needed, and rebalance existing pools when the period of de-pegging is neigh.
